- Career season stats were not being correctly displayed
- Purse payout adjustments for season tournaments so that the top positions get a better percentage of the winnings
- Match play crash when a match had been closed out
- Pairing shell lock-up on some systems when changing the number of players per group
- Side games points were incorrectly awarded for skins, greenies, and longest drives
- Players with negative amounts of online side bet points were not eligible for playing in tournaments or regular games
- Sound problem on Windows2000 that would cause longer duration sounds to play incorrectly
- Printed scorecard columns were misaligned
- Golfball was not correctly lined up with club face when using irons
- Driving distance average for computer players' season stats was incorrectly calculated
- Handicaps were quickly diminishing to 0 due to incorrect course difficulty calculation
- Some 3D structures were not being shown when placed on the course landplot
- Drop sometimes placed players 4 feet up in the air
- Custom courses that did not have all 18 holes pin/tee positions defined would cause a crash when loading the course
- Choosing "Back 9" and playing with a list of computer players would cause incorrect scores to be posted (unviewed players were starting on hole 9 instead of 10).
- Skins amount was incorrect for any holes during sudden death (carry over on the last hole)
- Printed scorecards had formatting problems
- Scramble, Greensome, and Bloodsome types of play would give incorrect shot selections for online games
II. IMPROVEMENTS
=======================
- Computer player short game
- Computer player shots have draws and fades
- Ball physics have been tuned to make the "Very Dry", "Dry", "Moist", and "Wet" green conditions less extreme
- Putting average for player and season stats shows two decimal precision
- Pin positions change for each round of a season event
- Mechanism for detecting uninstalled libraries has been modified to prevent some of the confusion and instability that these could cause in the architect program
- Drops that result in unplayable lies allow a re-drop (and place if necessary)
- Disabled text on game settings screen contrasts better against the green background
- Ability to choose from the Pairing Screen which group of computer players to watch when no human opponents are present, default is the
group with the lowest scores rather than the previous highest scores group. Choosing "None" will simulate the scores for the round.
III. KNOWN ISSUES
=======================
- Black golfball can still occur occassionally. Unfortunately the problem is rooted in the DirectX internals and our attempts to find a workaround
for this annoyance have been only partially successful in that it seems more infrequent now. Fortunately this does not affect game play and when you start
a new game the golfball will be the correct white color once again.
- Direct TCP/IP connections for multiplayer games are not supported. Many people have indicated a desire for this, however it is not a trivial undertaking and would
require significant development and testing efforts. The decision has been made to give this serious consideration under a full version development schedule.
- Saving mid-round during a season event is not allowed. We considered adding this feature and eventually came to the conclusion that it would require some fundamental
changes to the season play engine that we weren't comfortable making in an update version. Your season progress is saved between rounds, but once you begin a round in
a season event you are required to play the round to completion. A mid-round save feature will be considered under a full version development schedule.
- WON.net stability issues are beyond the scope of this update, however plans are in place to upgrade the multiplayer portions of the game to provide more reliable connections
and tournament support.
